Thomas’ Developer Blog

I’ve been programing for several years now and have been learning computers for the last 10 or so years.  Along with my computer expertise I have a background in Finance with outstanding interpersonal and computer skills.

Currently I am developing in VB.NET along with mySQL and other advance server/database/client side languages.  I have a BS in Finance along with years of electronic retail and comptuer hardware/software experience.  I’m hoping to complete my first major project by the end of 2008, and hope to have the pre-beta release any day now.

My current project involves an interactive user contributed database in which users are freely able to access tons of information along with in depth searchs.  It’s basically Wiki, but completely database contributed, meaning it’s a lot easier to gather information and complete detailed statistics and analysis of information to present to users.  As of now I am not disclosing the site, but once the server is completed and setup I will start posting more about the development OE/ES.

If you have any questions you’re always welcomed to email me.  Since I’m a recent grad I’m still searching for a job.  With the subprime meltdown it’s becoming next to impossible for college graduates to get anywhere right now, so until I can land a job I’ll be stuck here programing for a while.  So if you need someone to help program a VB.Net based financial site drop me a line!  You’ll be supprised how skilled I really am.

  2. Sudha,

The site looks fairly interesting. It’s a simple layout which really is a lot better than a lot of the sites out there that try to clutter too much. One thing I do like is the amount of reputable sites listed. Though, I do find the mouseover effects to be a bit cumbersome at times. Overall it seems like an interesting site, and please feel free to list my blog on your site if you would like to do so.

As I stated before in my first post, the point of the blog was intended to help out developers who fail into the same annoy coding issues that I have in the past, and to help them through some of the odd struggles people may face day to day in coding. Having the blog posted on Geexoo would be an excellent way to reach a wider audience in the developer world.

PS: I’ll make sure to make a brief comment about Geexoo in one of my next post if it ties to the subject.

  3. I am really enjoying the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into
any internet browser compatibility problems? A small number of my blog audience have
complained about my site not operating correctly
in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any advice to help fix
    this issue?
